SUNSARI: A man died after a truck bearing Indian registration number plate knocked him down at Sonapur of Sunsari along the Koshi Highway on Tuesday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, the deceased has been identified as Ajay Tamang (27) of Parkhibas, Dhankuta and currently residing in Bhaluwa Municipality-4 of Duhabi.

Police informed that Tamang died on the spot when the truck (UP 86-9307) hit him at around 7 pm yesterday.

Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation
