URLABARI, MORANG: A person riding on a bicycle was killed after he was rammed by a truck in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14 along the Koshi Highway on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Sah (43) of Biratnagar-16.

The truck (Ko 1 Kha 5182) heading southward hit the ill-fated bicycle inflicting fatal injuries on its rider Sah last night, according to police.

Sah was rushed to the Biratnagar-based Koshi Zonal Hosptal where he succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment at around 9:00 pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Rani-based Area Police Office has arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation into the incident, Inspector Santosh Niraula told Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
