BHOJPUR: A pedestrian died after a truck laden with goods knocked him down at Thapa Chok in Urlabari-6 of Morang district along the East-West Highway on Friday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, the identity of the deceased, who appeared to be in his 60s, is yet to be established.

Police said that the incident occurred when the truck (Na 3 Kha 9494) heading towards east from west hit him this morning.

Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation.
