BHOJPUR: A biker died after a truck hit a motorcycle he was riding on, at Belbari of Morang on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as police constable Padam Bahadur Kami stationed at Border Police Post Bantabari.

Police said that the incident occurred when the truck (Ko 1 Kha 1554) heading towards west from east hit the two-wheeler (Ba 33 Pa 9889) along the East-West Highway yesterday afternoon.

Critically injured Kami was rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Science but breathed his last during the course of treatment at around 6 pm.

The Area Police Office, Belbari impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation.
