KALAIYA: A woman died on the spot when a truck hit the bicycle she was riding on, in Nijgadh Municipality in Bara district this morning.

The victim has been identified as Kalpana Gautam (35) of Nijgadh-5 in the district, according to the District Police Office.

The accident occurred when the truck (Na 2 Kha 9341) coming to the marketplace from Nijgadh hit the cyclist.

Police have impounded the vehicle and have arrested truck driver Jokh Kunwar Chaudhary (50) of Nijgadh-8 for further investigation, said Police Inspector Subash Kumar Gaire.
