RAUTAHAT: United Democratic Madhesi Front cadres torched a truck in Garuda, Rautahat on Tuesday.

Police said UDMF cadres sprinkled petrol and set fire to the cargo-laden vehicle ready to leave for Jitpur of Bara, near Methur Chowk in Garuda Municipality at midnight.

Police with the help of locals doused the fire after the perpetrators fled.

The vehicle’s front part has been damaged.
