Tusker victim’s family in crisis
Patihani, January 23:
After an wild elephant trampled 51-year-old Kambati Tamang of Patihani VDC-8, Ganganagar, to death on January 12, the family members are facing tough time. Kambati’s widow Mina Kumari, still in mourning for her dead husband, said, “the wild elephant had attacked him in our yard and fled after other villagers came, my husband died on the way to hospital.”
The Ganganagar village lies in the bank of Rapti River at the distance of 20 km from headquarters Bharatpur. The family of five are now facing economic difficulties after the death of the sole bread winner.
