DAMAULI: Two youth have been arrested on charge of attacking a man with a sharp weapon, in Tanahun district.

Organising a press meet at the District Police Office in Damauli, police said six persons had attacked Junga Bahadur Tamang of Belchautara in Shuklagandaki Municipality-1 of the district on April 21 with a sharp weapon.

Of the suspects, Milan Paudel (25) of Dulegaunda and Dipesh Gurung (22) of Shantitole in the Shuklagandaki Municipality were arrested on Wednesday in connection to the case.

Four other persons who were also involved in thrashing Tamang are on the run, said DSP Surendra Bahadur Gurung.

Meanwhile, police are searching for the absconding youth, he added.

Police said both the arrestees were remanded to custody after presenting them before the Tanahun District Court.
