Two arrested in possession of counterfeit bank notes
LAHAN: Police has arrested two people along with counterfeit Nepali and Indian currency from Choharwa Chok, Naraha Rural Municipality-1 of Siraha district on Sunday evening.
Those arrested are Roshan Kumar Yadav (32) of Naraha Rural Municipality-2 in Siraha, and Mahesh Kumar Yadav (16) of Sahidnagar Municipality-2 in Dhanusha district.
A police team mobilised at Naya Choharwa Chok confiscated 15 Nepali currency notes of Rs 1,000 denomination and three Indian currency notes of Rs 2,000 denomination from them, while searching the motorcycle (Ja 5 Pa 6209) they had been riding at the time, the District Police Office, Siraha said.
They are currently in police custody and further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
