Two bodies found, could be of Trishuli bus fall victims

CHITWAN: Police said they have found two bodies, which could be of victims of the Trishuli bus fall on August 26, on the bank of the Narayani River in Chitwan district on Monday.

Their identity could not be ascertained yet but the deceased appeared to be of Tarai origin and in their 30s, the Chitwan District Police Office said.

Blood stains are seen on their clothes and the bodies have started decaying.

Bodies were found at Bhagadi where the Narayani River diverges, according to an official at the Area Police Office, Divyanagar.

The bodies have been brought to the Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem.

As many as 22 people were killed and 16 others injured after a passenger bus heading to Pokhara from Gaur of Rautahat plunged into the Trishuli River, a major tributary of Narayani River, at Chandibhanjyang of Chitwan on Friday.

At least 13 people are said to be missing after the incident.
