KANCHANPUR: A person died on the spot after a tractor (Se 1 Ta 2450) met with an accident at Dekhatbhuli-1 in Kanchanpur district on Monday morning.

Tractor driver Phulchandra Rana, 43, of Paulaha in Belauri Municipality died in the incident, Police Inspector Gyan Bahadur Sethi said. Police said that the tractor carrying bricks skidded off the road after the driver fell asleep.

Likewise, helper of a city bus died after falling off the running vehicle (Na 3 Kha 1442) in Birgunj the same morning. Nitesh Kumar of Jitpur, Bara, died after falling from the speeding vehicle that he himself was driving, an eyewitness said.
