Rupandehi, November 29:

Two patients — 40-year-old Khim lal Neupane of Bhalwad VDC and Jit Bahadur Khadka of jaynagar VDC in Kapilvastu district — have been diagnosed with dengue. One had been admitted to the Butwal-based Lumbini Zonal Hospital while the other had been taken to the Siddhartha Maternal Child Care Hospital.

Medical record-keeper in Lumbini hospital Laxmi Raj Regmi said blood samples of the two patients were sent to the Central Health Lab in Kathmandu on November 8. Dengue virus was found in both persons’ blood samples. The Central Health Lab sent the reports to the hospitals recently, said hospital sources.
