NEPALGUNJ: A nine-year-old minor has been killed after drowning in the Rapti River at Raptisonari Rural Municipality-2 in Banke.

Kanhaiya Tharu, who had gone missing since Tuesday evening, was found floating on Wednesday morning, informed the police.

In another incident, an elderly woman was killed when a tractor (Bhe 1 Ta 5986) skidded off the road and overturned at Duduwa Rural Municipality-6 in the same district. The deceased has been identified as Fulkala Loniya (60) who is a local resident.

Investigations were on after taking the tractor and the driver under control, said Inspector Rana Bahadur Bista of Banke District Police Office.
