PHYUTHAN: Two girls died after a soil mound buried them in Dang, Gangapaspur on Sunday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Pratima Kumal, 23, and Prabita Chaudhary, 21, of Gadhuwa.

The duo died when a soil mound caved in while they were extracting soil to daub their houses with red mud. The bodies have been sent to District Hospital for post-mortem.

On Friday six children of the same village were killed in a similar incident in Dododhara VDC.
