Two held with 55g brown sugar in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ: Two youth were arrested in possession of 55 gram brown sugar from Birgunj, near the Indo-Nepal border, on Saturday.

They were trying to smuggle the contraband from Raxaul in the Indian side to Nepal, police said.

Police had used a sniffer dog to find out that the motorcycle-borne suspects had hidden the narcotics in their body.

At first, the two had escaped during the security check, police said. Police chased and got hold of them again to confiscated the contraband.
