Bara District Court today sent two persons, including former Constituent Assembly member and Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal central member Pramod Gupta, to jail for setting a car owned by a medical doctor ablaze on Thursday night.

Pramod Gupta and local leader Arun Singh were sent to Birgunj Prison, said the court.

Local Hifajat Miya was killed in the police firing during the third Madhes agitation at Kalaiya's Bharat chowk four years ago.
