Teenagers sentenced for murder in Darchula

BAITADI: Two persons, including a juvenile, have been sentenced to a jail for murdering a man on Monday.

According to DSP Kedar Khanal of the Darchula District Police Office, the convicts have been identified as 14-year-old Keshav Kunwar (name changed) and Ramesh Singh Kunwar (17) of Api Municipality-4 of Darchula.

"Ramesh and Keshav have been sentenced to 20 years and 10 years and nine months in prison," DSP Khanal added.

Three persons, including the Kunwar duo, were arrested for allegedly murdering Ganesh Singh Kunwar of Api Municipality-4 with a dagger on September 11, 2016.

Another arrestee Dhirendra Singh Kunwar (27) of the same locality was acquitted of the charge.
