NAWALPARASI: Two Indian pilgrims and ten others were injured in a tractor accident at Suryapur VDC, Nawalparasi on Monday.

Police Inspector Subhash Ghaire informed that the deceased have been identified as Karmaoli Devi Gupta (60) and Ramesh Gupta (17) of Uttar Pradesh of India.

Injured Karmaoli and Ramesh were rushed to the Prithvichandra Hospital, Nawalparasi, where they died while receiving treatment.

The passengers had arrived to take holy dips in Trivenidham on the occasion of Maghe Aunsi in Nawalparasi district.

The injured are being treated at the Martyr’s Memorial Community Hospital in Chhaupatta.

The tractor with Indian number plate travelling from Nechrun of Simara in Uttar Pradesh had met with the accident at Suryapur VDC in Nawalparasi.

Meanwhile, a youth, who was found lying in an unconscious state at Kudiya-6 in the district, died while receiving treatment at the Prithvichandra hospital, Police Inspector Ghaire said.
