RUKUM: Two persons were killed while 14 others injured in a tractor accident last night at Bhume Rural Municipality in Eastern Rukum.

The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Bhandari (40) of Bhume Rural Municipality-1 and Chudamani Chaudhary (32) of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City in Dang, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prabin Lal Shrestha at District Police Office, Rukum.

According to police, the tractor (Ra 1 Ta 2261) was ferrying manual workers, who were returning home from their working site, when the tractor's rear portion slipped at Panchase.

Of the 14 injured, the condition of three is reported to be critical. The injured are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital based in Salle.
