DAMAULI: Two persons were electrocuted and six others were hurt at Shuklagandaki Municipality-9 in Tahanun district on Monday night.

Thirty-year-old Durga Neupane and five-year-old Khushi Neupane died on the spot after receiving electric shocks after a transmitter explosion, Superintendent of Police Mohan Kumar Acharya said.

Seriously injured Nilkantha Neupane (35) and Shaligram Neupane (75) are receiving treatment in Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.

Similarly, Sukmaya Nepali, Milan Nepali, Samjhana Nepali and Phulmaya Nepali are receiving at the Dulegaunda-based Setiganga Community Hospital.
