DAMAULI: Two persons were killed in different road accidents in Tanahun on Sunday.

Bishal Pariyar (36) of Lekhnath Municipality-11 died after a bus (Ga1 Kha 3864) knocked him down in Bandipur Municipality-1 on Sunday night.

Pariyar breathed his last the same night during the course of treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara, Tanahau District Police Office said.

Police have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.

In a similar case, a six-year-old Nikesh Rana of Bungkot-4, Gorkha was killed after a two-wheeler (Ba 69 Pa 1746) hit him in Baradi, Abukhaireni Municipality-2.

The two-wheeler was moving from Dumre to Abukhaireni of the district.

Severely injured Rana was rushed to a medical college in Chitwan. However, hospital could not save his life, police said.
