DHANGADHI: Two persons lost their lives when a motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a mini-truck coming from the opposite direction in Balmi of Godavari Municipality, Kailali on Monday night.

The deceased have been identified as Tej Bahadur Rawal (50), an accountant at the District Coordination Committee, Kailali, and Bir Bahadur Rawal (55) of Navadurga Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura, currently residing in Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur.

The accident took place when the motorcycle (Se 4 PA 9429) heading westwards collided with a mini-truck (Bhe 1 Kha 1414) coming east from Attariya, according to the District Police Office, Kailali.

Both of them died while undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital. Bodies of the deceased have been kept at the hospital for postmortem.
