MORANG: Two persons were killed in a road mishap at Belbari Municipality-3 along the East-West Highway, today.

The deceased have been identified as Khagendra Tamang (38) of Itahari-1 in Sunsari and Jay Narayan Tamang (33) of Pauwadumda-5 in Bhojpur district.

The incident took place when a bus (Ko 1 Kha 6435) heading towards east from west hit the motorcycle (Ko 27 Pa 4164).

Jay Narayan died on the spot while Khagendra was pronounced dead upon arrival at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation.
