Two killed, one hurt in separate accidents in Dhading

DHADING: Police said two persons were killed and one sustained serious injuries in two separate accidents in Dhading district on Friday.

The 30-year-old driver Bibek Thing of Madanpokhari in Makawanpur district died when a container truck (Ba 6 Kha 7370) heading to Kathmandu from Chitwan plunged into the Trishuli River from Hugdikhola in Jogimara VDC along the Prithvi Highway at around 7 am this morning.

The seriously injured driver had breathed his last on the way to a hospital for treatment while his assistant, Rojan Titun (16) from Madanpokhari, is undergoing treatment at the Community Hospital in Malekhu in the district.

Similarly, a passenger bus (Na 2 Kha 4927) fatally hit a woman at Gairigaun in Maidi of the district at around 7 am this morning.

Seriously injured 35-year-old Keshar Kumari Tiwari of Maidi -5 had breathed her last on the way to a Kathmandu-based hospital, informed police.

The incident occurred while she was getting off the moving bus.
