KATHMANDU: Two persons were arrested from their houses in possession of 200 kg marijuana in Makawanpur district on Monday.

Ram Kumar Praja (33) and Aarde Singh (41) are both residents of Devitar, Raksirang Rural Municipality, said police.

A team deployed from the Manahari Area Police Office raided the houses of alleged smugglers and found 140 kg marijuana stacked in eight sacks from the house of Praja. Similarly, police also found 60 kg marijuana hidden in five sacks at Singh's house.

Police are investigating further into the case.
