Kalikot, December 17:

Pushparaj Shahi and Ali Bahadur Shahi of Syuna VDC in Kalikot have been stranded in Malaysia for days. They were sent to Malaysia by Kathmandu-based Trust Nepal Manpower Company.

Talking to this daily over phone, Pushparaj alleged that they were given less than half the promised amount and were tortured. Ali Bahadur Shahi alleged that the company had seized his passport.

Their families have come to the district administration office of Kalikot, seeking help to arrange for their return. Meanwhile, Rabin Gurung, chief of the Manpower

office, said he was trying to rescue the stranded youths.
