Two Nepali women rescued

New Delhi, November 29:

Two Nepali women, who were stranded in New Delhi, have been rescued. The Prabasi Sangathan Janadhikar Surakshya Samittee Bharat rescued them, as they were ostensibly bound for Kuwait for employment.

The samittee at a public programme, named the two women and the person who had brought them to New Delhi.

Maya Gurung and Dil Kumari Gurung of Syangja said they had paid Ramesh Poudel through Babita Gurung of Pokhara three months ago and alleged that Poudel had left them stranded.

Maya said that she paid Rs 12,500 while Dil Kumari paid Rs 10,000 to Babita three months ago. Maya was also suffering from jaundice.

Accused Ramesh Poudel claimed before the office-bearers of the samittee that 14 teenage girls sent abroad by him are regularly sending money home.
