Two shops gutted in Lamjung fire
LAMJUNG: Property worth around Rs 5 million was destroyed in a fire that gutted two shops in Besisahar Municipality-7 of Lamjung on Monday.
According to locals, the fire started with an electric short-circuit at midnight.
The fire gutted properties worth Rs 3 million in a cloth shop belonging to Uttar Bahadur Pariyar, and Rs 2 million worth goods in a computer institute and repair shop belonging to Rupesh Thapa, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yadav Dhakal at Lamjung District Police Office.
Police with the help of locals and fire engines doused the fire after one hour of effort.
