According to Yubaraj Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Bardiya District Police Office, Munni Saburi (40) and Sarita Godiya (30) of Gulariya Municipality-3, Khairapur were attacked by the tiger while collecting grass in a forest near no-man's land. The two women sustained head and neck injuries.

The victims were taken to the District Hospital, Gulariya for treatment, police said.
