UCPN-M will not submit to parties
SINDHULIMADHI: Secretary of the Unified CPN-Maoist Chandra Prasad Gajurel today said that their party would not participate in the government on conditions put forth by other parties. Inaugurating the first district conference of Martyrs' family, Gajurel said, "Maoists will never accept those conditions set forth by other parties," adding that submitting to conditions set by the CPN-UML and the NC for a government under their leadership would amount to sheer disrespect for people's war and sacrifice made by the martyrs.
He claimed that the Maoists had fought for the republic and were only capable of institutionalising it. He vowed not to bow down before any alliance and forces that betrays the martyrs and marginalised people.
Meanwhile, he demanded that 15,000 Maoist combatants be integrated into the national army. The government would collapse any time soon as it had failed in all fronts, he said.
