UML candidate elected mayor, NC deputy mayor in Triyuga
TRIYUGA: A CPN- UML candidate Bal Dev Chaudhari on Thursday has been elected as the mayor of Triyuga Municipality in Udayapur district.
Likewise, Nepali Congress candidate Devi Chaudhary has been elected as the deputy mayor in the metropolis.
Earlier, UML has bagged victory as the mayor and deputy mayor of Katari Municipality in the district. Gyanendra Shrestha and Mina Kumari Rawat were respectively elected to the posts.
In Chaudandi Municipality, however, Nepali Congress candidates Nirmal Kumar Rai and Rita Chaudhary were elected as the mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
