UML CC meet from June 24

Kathmandu, June 18:

The UML standing committee meeting, chaired by party general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, today decided to hold the party’s 15th central committee meeting on June 24.

The central committee meeting is expected to discuss the current political situation and evolve a strategy for the upcoming constituent assembly election. Today’s standing committee meeting also fixed the agenda to be discussed during the 15th central committee meeting which would last for a few days.

Standing committee member Keshav Badal said that the general secretary will present a political report while heads of all the 14 zones will brief the meeting on the political situation in the districts. Badal said the meeting will mainly discuss ways of mobilising the party-rank-and-file for the CA election, which is expected to take place by mid-December.
