UML discusses party statute amendment
KATHMANDU: The ongoing central committee meeting of the CPN-UML on Monday began discussing the political and organisational reports presented in the meeting that includes amending the existing party statute in accordance with the new constitution.
According to central committee member Ram Kumari Jhakri, eight team leaders have delivered their reports on behalf of their respective teams.
During deliberations, the leaders raised the issue of ways to amend the existing party statute to fit with the new constitution and they also discussed formation of Pradesh committees.
The leaders had criticised the government of failing to curb black marketing and delay in reconstruction work, besides lauding its role in maintaining national independence. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday.
