UML office padlocked

Bhojpur, May 5:

CPN-UML cadres and youth supporters today organised a sit-in in front of the party office here to press the party to include cadres from Bhojpur in the proportionate representation system candidate in the Constituent Assembly.

The disgruntled group of party cadres also padlocked the office.

Issuing a press release the disgruntled cadres said they organised the protest programme after the party failed to nominate Kripasur Sherpa as a PR candidate.

The release said it was irresponsible on the part of the party to deny Sherpa a seat in the Constituent Assembly.

Meanwhile, Nepal Loktantrik Sherpa Sangh Bhojpur also expressed its solidarity with the protesters and said the central committee has neglected Bhojpur district by not including anybody in the constituent assembly after the UML failed to win in the district.
