UML will lead national consensus government: Oli

BHOJPUR: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli claimed that a national consensus government would be formed under his party's leadership after delivering a new constitution.

He made the statement while addressing a programme organised by CPN-UML Morang in Biratnagar on Tuesday.

As the UCPN-Maoist, Madhesi and fringe parties want the UML to lead the national consensus government, Oli said that his party is ready to take the leadership.

Saying that the preliminary draft of the constitution has already been tabled at the Constituent Assembly, he said that no power could halt the constitution drafting process.

Stating that the major political forces are ready to promulgate the new constitution on July 31, he claimed that the much-awaited statute would be delivered within the same date.

Moreover, Oli directed the party cadres to move ahead with unity to take the responsibility brought by the great earthquake and for the reconstruction of the country.
