UML candidate elected to chairman, CPN-MC to vice in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR: CPN-UML candidate Bijay Rai has been elected the chairman of Ram Prasad Rai Rural Municipality in Bhojpur district garnering 8 more votes than that of CPN-Maoist Centre candidate on Friday.

UML's Rai secured 2,356 votes while Maoist Centre's Tham Bahadur Rai obtained 2,348 votes.

Meanwhile, Samjhana Rai of CPN-MC has been elected the vice chairperson of the rural municipality defeating Kritika Rai of UML. The former achieved 2,532 votes while the latter was limited to 2,447 votes.
