UML's woman candidate elected mayor of Kawasoti Municipality
NAWALPARASI: CPN-UML woman candidate Chandra Pun has been elected as the mayor of Kawasoti Municipality in Nawalparasi district.
Pun collected 13, 041 votes while her closest rival from Nepali Congress Mahendra Pokharel garnered 12, 594 votes.
Similarly, UML's Prem Shankar Mardaniya was elected as the deputy mayor. He defeated Nepali Congress Khagisara Gurung by 2,201 votes.
