UNDP to reconstruct devastated health posts

NUWAKOT: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is to reconstruct the health facilities destroyed by the 2015-earthquake in Nuwakot district.

UNDP is set to carry out reconstruction of the health facilities after the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which initially took the responsibility for constructing 10 health posts in the district, could not start the reconstruction work in stipulated time, according to Nuwakot District Public Health Officer Ram Mani Ghimire.

The Health Ministry has handed over the responsibility of the reconstruction of health facilities at Belkot, Sisdole of Okharpauwa, Ratmate, Duipipal, Likhu, Panchakanya, Thaprek, Ghyangphedi, Charghare and Suryamati to UNDP.
