RAUTAHAT: An unidentified group murdered a woman and her minor daughter using a sharp weapon in Paltuwa VDC-3 of Rautahat district in the wee hours of Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Renu Sah (32) and her 10-year-old daughter Ankita of Kanutol, Paltuwa.

According to District Police Office, the bodies of the duo were found 200 metres away from their house.

Renu's husband is in Malaysia for last four years in the course of overseas employment.

For further investigation, police have brought a sniffer dog from Hetaunda.
