UDMF rejects harassment charge

Rajbiraj, April 11

Leaders of the United Democratic Madhesi Front today  rejected CPN-UML lawmaker Satya Narayan Mandal’s charge that his daughter and in-laws were unsafe from the Front’s activists.

Speaking at a press meet in Saptari today, UDMF’s district Coordinator Dinesh Kumar Yadav accused the UML leader of trying to tarnish their image with a false accusation.

However, they admitted that they had hoisted a black flag at the houses of UML lawmakers as they had planned.

Sadbhawana Party’s senior Vice-Chairperson Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav sought lawmaker Mandal’s resignation for his false allegation in the Parliament yesterday.

Federal Socialist Forum Province No 2 Chief Secretary ShambhuJha demanded that the government conduct a fair probe into the allegation.

Speaking at the Parliament during yesterday’s session, lawmaker Mandal had accused front leaders led by Dinesh Yadav of manhandling his daughter and wife and breaking into his house in Saptari.
