UNMIN term to be extended, PM tells Prez
Kathmandu, December 13:
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal met President Dr Ram Baran Yadav in the latter’s office here today.
The PM and the President talked for 45 minutes about the contemporary politics.
Talking to mediapersons, the PM said he apprised the president about the government’s decision to extend the tenure of United Nations Mission in Nepal. “I told him about the letter I wrote in the name of UN security council requesting for the extension of UNMIN’s tenure,” the PM said. The tenure of UNMIN expires on January 22.
Om Sharma, Press Advisor to the PM, said the government will soon send the letter to the UNSC. The two discussed the key issues of peace process, including the constitution writing process and the army integration.
