Kathmandu, August 8:

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has requested all the consumers to economise on use of petroleum products which have been imported from abroad by spending foreign currency.

In a press release issued today, the NOC has stated that the use of petroleum products with frugality would not only reduce the loss incurred by the Corporation, but would also reduce the spending of foreign currency, ameliorate the problem of unnecessary pollution, bring about awareness on the economical use of fuel and help in continued supply of petroleum products in the coming days as well.

The NOC has reached to a state wherein it cannot financially carry out transaction of petroleum products because price of petroleum products has not been increased in Nepal as per the need in tandem with the international price, the NOC stated in the press release.
