Vaccination drive kicks off in Tanahun

Damauli, April 6

Tanahun District Health Office is all set to administer vaccines against Japanese Encephalitis among 120,000 children between the age of one and 15 years in the district.

Vaccination officer Shankar Babu Adhikari of DHO, said the campaign will last from May 8 to May 17 in the first phase and will be continued from May 20 to May 28 in the second phase.

Various workshops and seminars are being conducted in different health organisations of the district from April 3 to April 8, to make the campaign a grand success.

As many as 58 health chiefs and assistants from all health organisations of the district have attended the programme so far.

Adhikari, along with DHO Chief Dr Pawan Jung Rayamajhi, District Public Health Officer Mukti Pandit and Public Health Inspector Ishworiya Bhattarai, among others, have been providing training to health workers as part of preparations to make the campaign successful.
