MANANG: A masked gang robbed Mingmar Bista, former chairman of Tachai Bagarchhap VDC, of Rs 4 million last night.

It was at around 9 pm when the gang, equipped with guns, entered the house and took him under control. “They decamped with Rs 2.7 million in cash, 22 tolas of gold, five sets of coral (muga) and one silver belt,” Bista reported.

According to Aash Gurung, Lamjung correspondent of Sagarmatha TV, the police nabbed the robbers from Khudi today and seized Rs 687,000 in cash, two sets of coral, a silver belt, two mobile phones, one khukuri and some ammunition from them.
