BIRGUNJ: Indian transporters, drivers and traders force opened the Birgunj-Raxaul border for an hour on Wednesday at about 8 pm.

According to the Madhesi agitators at the border point, the Indians discarded the bamboo barriers and flung into the Sirsiya River beside the barrier.

About 50 Indians had come to charge on the remaining four agitators when they found that others had gone to have supper.

The outnumbered transporters and drivers had acted violently against the agitators to clear the way until they passed a truck loaded with an excavator machine into Nepali land after which they turned back quietly, said an agitator Bacha Yadav.
