KOTHNAG: The Diktel-Halesi road section in Kothang has resumed vehicular operation after three months in the district.

The road was halted since July 6 as it developed numerous potholes due to the incessant rainfall and muddy floods.

The road section along the Mid Hill Highway used to get obstructed during the rainy seasons. This year, the blacktopping had prolonged the obstruction.

Ganesh Bikram Shahi, Chairman of Kothang Transport Entrepreneurs Association, said that the transport services have resumed today.

Passenger vehicles stranded in Jayaram Ghat and Halesi have been brought to Diktel, Said Shahi.

He further said that the vehicles have been operated keeping in mind upcoming Dashain and Tihar festivals.

The resumption of movement along the only road linking the Tarai region with Khotang has brought back cheers to the local public.
