TANAHUN: The number of patients suffering from viral fever has gone up in Tanahun district of late.

The government hospitals and private health facilities are witnessing a surge in number of patients suffering from viral fever.

Around 150 to 200 patients visit the Damauli-based District Hospital on a daily basis which is double than in other times and majority of them are suffering from viral fever, Dr Anil Giri of the District Hospital informed.

The risk of viral infection is high in the monsoon, Dr Giri said, advising people to drink clean or boiled water to avoid the chances of infection during the monsoon.
