Pokhara, April 19:
The National Vitamin A programme scheduled for today and tomorrow was affected in Pokhara due to a daytime curfew clamped here today.
Senior public health officer of Kaski, Maiya Devi Ranjitkar, said though all preparations for administering Vitamin A to the children were completed, the programme could not be conducted due to the curfew. Ranjitkar said Vitamin A capsules were sent to rural areas with the help of peons of the office. The District Public Health Office said though vitamin A programme was started in ward number 9 of Pokhara despite curfew, it had to be stopped following orders from CDO Madhav Raj Regmi.
