Voting concludes in two Gorkha polling centres
GORKHA: With whopping 98.99 per cent voter turnout, voting concluded in two polling centres of remote Chumnumbri Rural Municipality in northern Gorkha on Sunday afternoon.
Seventy out of 71 people who were in the voter's list in Samdo village cast their ballot at Samdo polling centre in Chumnubri Rural Municipality-1, bordering Tibet. One person, however, had passed away.
Voting began at the centre at 7 am and was over by 9 am, according to a local teacher Nima Dorje Lama.
Likewise, voting concluded at Nyak Pre-Primary School Polling Centre in the same Rural Municipality.
There were altogether 73 voters.
