Water for irrigation lifted through mobile app
BENI, MYAGDI: A local farmer Krishna Bahadur Khatri of Beni Municipality in Myagdi tapped a mobile app, through which an electric motor turned on, and the water was lifted 250 metres uphill from the river for irrigation.
This new technology has made things easier for the farmers to irrigate their farm through one touch in the app, which has a connection to an electric motor set up at the source of water in the Municipality.
Under this technology, one can switch on an electric motor set up to lift water from faraway by means of a mobile app.
"The water can be lifted, carried to and dropped some 250 metres uphill within five seconds when an electric motor set up at the reservoir is turned on through the app," said Khatri.
It charges four rupees each time to switch on and off an electric motor to lift water through a mobile app, he said.
